Mr. Larson - 8th Grade Language Arts - 11/04/09

Welcome, one and all to November!  I kind of like this month since my birthday is in it!  (The 10th!) 

Well, we have started The Outsiders this week and, so far, have covered Outsiders - Chapters 1 & 2 (click on title to download the file).  We aren’t all the way done with Chapter 2 but have to move on as we need to start covering the Basic Rules of Commas and Capitalization.  We’ll begin taking notes on these subjects tomorrow, Friday, and on Monday.  The Rise and Stretch Quiz will be on Monday of next week.

Some students have asked about bringing to class their own copy of The Outsiders and that’s fine with me.  Make sure they put their name on it somewhere…I have two hardback novels on my desk that were left in my room without a name in them and no one has claimed them yet.

Well, we’re starting a new quarter and I am sure everything will be great!  Oh, I had promised some of the kids to include a picture of me from Halloween.  I’d include the one with my wife in it but know better than to do that ;).
